Biography
She began her career with Tasmania Police, working in criminal investigations and prosecutions, before transitioning into senior roles across local and state government, a US multinational, and leading global and boutique professional services firms. Her consulting work spans serious misconduct investigations, integrity risk reviews, and culture assessments for government departments, councils, and corporates.
Sonia has also held specialist roles at Deloitte and PwC, led the UK’s local counter-fraud function for several NHS organisations, and worked with the Metropolitan Police and the former Metropolitan Police Authority.
Her approach is person-centric and evidence-based, shaped by extensive professional and lived experience. She prioritises ethical and procedurally fair practices that minimise harm and applies trauma-informed methodologies throughout her investigations. Sonia has trained in memory and cognitive interviewing with world-leading UK academics.
