Biography

Ryan Ford has a distinctive blend of experience spanning law enforcement, government consulting, and workplace investigations. He brings deep expertise in managing complex, high-stakes matters, refined through years of operational, investigative, and advisory roles.

Ryan’s early career was forged in the NSW Police Force, where he served as a Sergeant and criminal investigator. He held a pivotal role within the Tactical Operations Unit under the Counter Terrorism and Special Tactics Command, gaining advanced training and frontline experience in crisis negotiation, covert operations, risk mitigation, and strategic response. He later moved into specialist investigative roles, involving major investigations into fraud, child protection matters, homicides, and organised crime.

Transitioning into management consulting, Ryan held a managerial role at PwC, advising government clients on governance, compliance, risk management, and workplace culture. His ability to integrate public sector insight with private sector advisory has become a hallmark of his approach, ensuring practical, effective solutions grounded in both policy and frontline realities.

Now, as a Director of Riskwise Consulting, Ryan leads complex investigations and advisory engagements across public and private sectors. His work includes matters involving employee misconduct, safety and compliance issues, reportable conduct investigations, culture reviews, and conflict resolution.

A Certified Conflict Coach, Ryan also supports organisations in managing interpersonal conflict and fostering healthier team dynamics. He is recognised for his ability to navigate sensitive situations with discretion, fairness, and strategic clarity.

Through Riskwise, Ryan brings together his operational insight, investigative rigour, and consulting acumen to support clients in building safer, more accountable, and high-performing workplaces.
