Ryan combines law enforcement, government consulting, and investigation expertise, with a particular focus on complex workplace and regulatory matters.
Ryan began his career with the NSW Police Force, where he served as a Sergeant and criminal investigator. He held a pivotal role within the Tactical Operations Unit under the Counter Terrorism and Special Tactics Command, gaining advanced training and frontline experience in crisis negotiation, covert operations, risk mitigation, and strategic response. He later moved into specialist investigative roles, involving major investigations into fraud, child protection matters, homicides, and organised crime.
Transitioning into management consulting, Ryan held a managerial role at PwC, advising government clients on governance, compliance, risk management, and workplace culture. His ability to integrate public sector insight with private sector advisory has become a hallmark of his approach, ensuring practical, effective solutions grounded in both policy and frontline realities.
Now, as a Director of Riskwise Consulting, Ryan leads complex workplace, regulatory, and governance investigations, as well as advisory engagements across public and private sectors. His work includes matters involving employee misconduct, safety and compliance issues, reportable conduct, culture reviews, and conflict resolution.
A Certified Conflict Coach, Ryan also supports organisations in managing interpersonal conflict and fostering healthier team dynamics. He is recognised for his ability to navigate sensitive situations with discretion, fairness, and strategic clarity.
