Ryan is an experienced investigator and reviewer who leads independent investigations and organisational reviews for clients managing serious, sensitive and high‑consequence workplace, integrity and risk matters.
Biography
Ryan is a Director of Riskwise Consulting. He leads independent workplace investigations and organisational reviews for boards, executives, government agencies and regulated organisations, working on matters that are sensitive, complex and high‑consequence, and often difficult to manage internally.
His investigation work includes bullying, harassment, sexual misconduct, conflicts of interest, fraud and corruption, and whistleblower and public interest disclosure (PID) matters, where conduct, integrity and risk overlap. Alongside investigations, Ryan leads reviews in the risk space, including psychosocial risk and WHS system reviews, governance and integrity reviews, and culture and complaint‑handling reviews. His reports are structured, evidence‑based and procedurally fair, and are designed to support sound decisions and withstand internal, regulatory or external scrutiny.
Ryan was a criminal investigator with the NSW Police Force, where he served as a Sergeant and held senior operational roles. He led serious and sensitive investigations, including matters involving fraud, serious misconduct and child protection, and managed high‑pressure situations with discipline and care. This work grounded his approach in evidence‑based decision‑making, procedural fairness and the careful handling of sensitive information.
He later moved into management consulting at PwC, working with government clients on strategy and operating model engagements. This gave him a close understanding of how large, regulated organisations are structured and function, which now informs the reviews and recommendations he delivers.
A certified conflict coach, Ryan also supports organisations in managing interpersonal conflict and difficult conversations when a broader response is appropriate. Across his work, he brings independence, fair process, clarity and discretion, and handles sensitive matters with care.
